Pedestals for stages
Three kinds of stage elements are to be distinguished in the area of mobile pedestals:
• the plug-in-leg pedestal
• the telescopic-leg pedestal
• the scissor-leg pedestal
These kinds of pedestals are distinguished essentially by their supporting mechanisms, and in terms of the diverse areas in which they are being used: open-air events, theaters, studios, community and multi-purpose auditoriums, fair and business auditoriums, restaurants, circuses, fashion events, hotels etc.
Plug-in-leg-pedestal
The plug-in-leg-pedestal is a platform with a fixed erecting height, which can be adjusted by exchanging plug-feet which are attached underneath the equipment. In every model, varying profile cross cuts 40 - 60 mm can be used. This model is used for stages with a fixed height, or for rostra erected stepwise. A smooth and even floor, such as can be found in gymnasiums, multi-purpose auditoriums, halls, museums, etc. is a precondition to guarantee stability.
Telescopic-foot-pedestal
The telescopic-foot-pedestal is an expansion of the plug-foot-pedestal. In order to balance uneven floors, slopes, stairs, plug-foot-coverings were altered in such a way as to render their height adjustable without the interposition of stairs. The basic elements are constituted by a mantle profile, (external profile) from which a multi-purpose profile (internal profile) can be drawn and arrested without stairs. Here again diverse profile cross cuts can be used in every system.
Scissor leg pedestal
The scissor leg pedestal is a platform with a scissor construction, which has been attached underneath the equipment and can be unfolded in different ways.
The X-scissor-mechanism (8 feet per pedestal) is distinguished from the Y-scissor-mechanism (4 feet per pedestal). Pedestals are further distinguished in the kinds of material used: aluminium, string-press-profile, or blank building steal. All variants can be erected in a pre-given roster of 20, 40, 60, and 100 cm, or in the slope of 16 2/3 usual in theaters.
